How to
Setup: Use a securely hung heavy bag in a gym, wear suitable hand protection and leave clear space around it.
Steps:
- Stand at a distance where you can touch the bag without leaning.
- Make light, controlled straight punches and allow the bag to settle.
- Pause between short combinations and step away before the next one.
Cues: Keep contact light and controlled. · Never strike a moving or unstable bag hard.
Stop if: the bag shifts, equipment feels loose, or your hand or shoulder hurts.
Easier: Do the same round as shadowboxing without touching the bag.
Harder: Add short footwork resets between light combinations.
